Used directly onto wood, the Background Colour will not only cover and create a great surface to paint on, but will also seal the surface with its built-in sealer.

All Matisse Background Colours are specifically designed and selected for use on canvas, board, etc. However, they can be used for interior domestic decoration when stencilling or creating faux finishes. Matisse Background Colour spreads quickly with a brush or roller and can be applied directly from the container. It also makes an ideal coloured gesso. This product should be applied in thin coats. Cleaning up is quickly done with soap and water.
